Try it Tuesday

try it tuesday | laV

last week my dear friend and i tried the {extremely} new french restaurant on the east side, laV. we were in over our heads when we read the menu, but ended up having one of the most tasty and fancy meals. the atmosphere is french country, they have some very unique dishes, and if you're into wine they have a whole book to choose from.

celebratory dinner @ sparrow kitchen

this week we went to a {very} new spot in the haight called sparrow kitchen in hopes of sitting on the amazing back patio. but alas, it was closed. why does this always happen to us? we still had a great time sipping rosé and tasting a bunch of dishes. i think we'll definitely be back once we can actually sit outside...

^^ after dinner we stopped for a night cap across the street at zam zam, this place has some serious character – and was the perfect spot to end a great night.

try it tuesday in the dogpatch: serpentine and DPS

this week's TiT was spent in the dogpatch neighborhood – a cute little area just outside of potrero hill that is very "up and coming", if you will. first we had dinner and cocktails at serpentine, a spot i would definitely go again. great food, delicious drinks, fun atmosphere, and not too expensive! kinda perfect if you ask me.

^^ next we went across the street to dogpatch saloon for a night cap. this bar is such a little neighborhood gem {someone was even having a drink with her dog!} you imagine that you'd come here nightly if you lived in nearby. the cocktails were delicious and the vibes were cozy. good to have you back, TiT... it has been a while.

try it tuesday @ hardwater

try it tuesday is le best tradition that has been around for years now – and i hope it never stops. sometimes, though, you need to put it on hold because you're spending too much money elsewhere. eating out in sf can really drain your wallet.

that being said – we're live! this week we tried a new spot on the embarcadero called hard water. in my opinion, it is kinda perfect. very small, tons of natural light, on the water, delish oysters and delish cocktails. it was a great start to reviving our TiT tradition! cheers and happy friday folks.

^^ i have high hopes to recreate this cocktail. it was seriously perfection. not kidding. PERFECTION.
